23 December 2022.: After more and more changes to the laws, in this case the SECURE 2.0 Act of 2022, the age of Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) from Qualified Plans have changed (and will keep changing). Beginning in 2023, the age to start taking RMDs goes from 72 to 73  Beginning in 2033, it goes up to 75. The good news, if any is that the SECURE 2.0 Act reduces the “failure to withdraw” penalty to 25% in all cases.  There is also also some relief if you make up the difference in time.  You’ll need to consult your tax professional to make sure.
